Data-driven
(dynamic) Web sites
Active
Server Pages (ASPs) and Cold Fusion are both server-side
scripting technologies that can be used to create dynamic
Intranet/Internet Web sites, also known as "Web
applications". An ASP or CF page is an HTML page
that contains Visual Basic or Java scripts, that is
processed by the Web server before being sent to your
browser. Dynamic Web pages are typically "data-driven",
which means the server gets current information from
a database and combines the data with the static, unchanging
part of the page to give the user a continually up-to-date
browsing experience.
Web
applications using ASP's or Cold Fusion can also provide
you with the ability to view and update your database
using a web browser. This gives you flexibility and
ease of access for all your company's users and customers.
PC Consultants can develop
a Web application for your existing database (SQL Server
or MS Access) or we can develop a new database application.
